They claim only 1 mold was made for this Bull Dog.
Russ Vogelsong acquired the mold from Westmoreland and tried to produce the blue carnival and cobalt for Summit Glass but they were only able to produce it in limited quantities.
Very few came out in sellable condition because they were difficult to make.
There is not an abundance of these bulldogs due to the fact that the large solid mass of glass would crack due to uneven cooling during its production.
They used a brass-spiked collar in the 1924 catalogue and they then went to the red leather collars later.
Approximate height is 6-1/2” tall to the tip of the ears and about 4-1/4” wide.
Item has a red leather collar with silver buckle and piercing black center eyes.
Weight is 5.
74 pounds.
I cannot see or feel any damage to this item.
The underneath side shows stick figure type mold marks, no numbers, insignia, or letters.
The glass has iridescent colors of blue, red, gold and yellow.
