ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Knowledgeable in Bloom & Bee’s Private Dining Room, Patio, and full restaurant buyout setup and capabilities.
Meet and greet in-house guests upon arrival and provide exemplary introductions to the restaurant.
Ensure all new hostesses are properly trained in phone etiquette, booking reservations properly, and overall hostess role duties.
Oversees hostess development, Forbes Standards understanding and education.
Manages hostess schedule and ensures hostesses are trained to perform at a Five Star level.
Responsible for the conditions of menu pages and shells, ensuring all pages are in pristine condition.
Responsible for updating new menus and promotional menus communication through OpenTable and social media, and with guests.
Responsible for ordering promotional and holiday menus with the marketing team and assisting Restaurant Managers with implementation.
Knowledgeable in Forbes’ Standards for hotel dining and reservations, including the ability to teach phone standards to all colleagues.
Maintain current hotel information and be able to provide hotel amenities information to all guests inquiring.
Ability to manage the OpenTable reservation system and maximize seating potential at all times.
Ensure all reservations are confirmed in advance and all policies of the restaurant are communicated.
Audit the OpenTable website for correct promotions and holiday verbiage.
Knowledgeable in all holiday promotions and ability to discuss holiday promotions with guests.
Monitor and alert managers on Open Table reviews.
Assist Restaurant Events Coordinators with inquiries and follow-up emails inclusive of sending out informational emails for potential clients.
Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
Print and prepare menus for events and ensure managers and servers have the most updated REOs and menus for events.
Work with F&B managers and keep them informed of F&B outlet events and ensure the event does not conflict with ongoing outlet business levels.
Responsible for creating menus for clients’ special events.
Responsible for the overall flow of the restaurant.
Responsible for collecting key guest preferences and maintaining open table guest database.
Responsible for service excellence as the first and last impression of the restaurant.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to deliver an exemplary service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.

Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor.
Inclusive of professional email and phone etiquette.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
At least 1 year in an upscale restaurant role, either as hostess, server, or bartender.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn new systems as required.
Ability to learn menu development software.
Strong restaurant experience as a service team member.
Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules, and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
Previous experience with restaurant reservations system.
