RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability.
RES is looking for a Regional Fleet Manager.
This position provides oversight and direction of RES vehicles and equipment including responsibility for utilization, maintenance, repairs, and asset management throughout the Gulf Coast Region reporting to our Creekmont, Texas location.
What your day-to-day might look like?:
Acts as front-line supervisor for in-shop and field-based techs.
Supervises, assigns, and prioritizes daily tasks for technicians and shop personnel.
Responsible for scheduling/progression of asset repairs, ensures maximum uptime and availability of assets across the region.
Works with OEM’s and 3rd party vendors for any outsourced parts/repairs.
Tracks and ensures Gulf Coast asset utilization.
Makes recommendations for replacement of assets based on life cycle and downtime cost tracking.
Implements best practices to control maintenance and repair spend.
Hires and trains mechanics/shop personnel when necessary.
Ensures compliance with DOT and FMCSA.
Works with operations personnel to ensure adequate timing/scheduling for PM services aligning with RES/OEM set maintenance schedules.
Utilizing Garage Management System.
Ensures compliance with the electronic tracking of assets, vehicle, and equipment through selected platforms.
Works to ensure shared availability of equipment and vehicles throughout the Gulf Coast Region.
Works with operations to right size equipment type by need and determine an appropriate and cost-effective solution.
Responsible for cost controls of maintenance spend, sets parameters that aligns with the RES repair versus replace model.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work through others to achieve results.
Mechanically inclined with capacity to troubleshoot mechanical problems in the moment.
Expert knowledge of construction machinery and vehicles.
Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
ASE Certification, Heavy Equipment Repair Technician, Manager/leadership, or similar certification.

5+ years working on heavy equipment including excavators, forklifts, skid steers and haul trucks from a variety of manufacturers.
5+ years working on class 3-9 light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles including pickups, passenger cars and tractors from a variety of manufacturers.
5+ years managing shop, field and office-based employees.
Prior experience with environmental construction equipment and repairs.
Prior experience as a shop manager for heavy construction or similar based fleet.
