Human Resources Manager
Purpose of the Job:
The Human Resource Manager provides vision and oversight to all areas of the Human Resource Department including employee relations, performance management, benefits, leaves of absence, policy interpretation, recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, offboarding, training and development and compliance.
This position reports directly to the CFO and COO.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
6+ years of progressive human resource experience
Previous HR management experience preferred
SHRM-CP required
SHRM-SCP preferred
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information and assignments with tact, discretion, and diplomacy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Provide guidance, support, follow up and direction to HR team members in all areas of their responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for all HR employee related issues
Research, document, and find resolutions related to internal grievances, if necessary
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Assist with the implementation of department objectives, policies, and procedures
Implement and facilitate organization wide performance management process and training programs
Provide support and coaching to managers with employee related concerns
Ensure Org Chart is kept current and accurate
Maintain and refresh job descriptions to ensure consistency and fluidity
Oversee staff hiring process including (but not limited to) recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding
Analyze trends and provide guidance in relation to compensation and benefits
Partner with CFO to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
Advise employees and management in the interpretation of human resources policies, programs, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Manage HR systems and processes according to industry standards
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday; must have the willingness to work a flexible schedule when needed to support church events that may be conducted during evenings, weekends and/or holidays
