Scope This position serves as a material planning team member who, with guidance from Material Planning lead, handles project tasks such as material allocations, reporting, analysis of data, inquiries, and general problem solving related to material availability.
This Position is primarily analytical and works with all functions of life cycle data management related to supply chain from conception thru construction.
The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of discipline groups outside of supply chain to bring collective assessments and resolutions is a must.

Basic Job Requirements • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study (in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Construction Management or Business Management) and six (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner • Manage critical material analysis and possibly supervise personnel with oversight from Material Management • Monitor and report supplier/fabricator's performance toward completion of all deliverables in accordance with the contractual obligation Terms & Conditions • Collaborate across all disciplines including Material Management, Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS)/Quality, Engineering, Project Data & Document Management (PDDM), and Construction • Act as liaison among Fluor, Supplier, and Client, as required • Generate documents, organize and manage files, and maintain tracking data and reports • Perform data entry proficiently in the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to facilitate project requirements • Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job • May need to travel to attend to business related matters • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality • Other duties as assigned Other Job Requirements Material Planning As the working “bridge” between home office engineering, procurement, and schedule data, and the construction jobsite material needs data, this crucial role works to identify material trends or weaknesses in material management execution and takes steps to mitigate risk and solve problems before they impact construction.
• Monitor the material coding process for Bulk Materials, Marked Pieces and Tagged equipment, input into material management system • Produce Material Planning reports with the ability to communicate actions required of others • Monitor material receiving, Nonconformance Reports (NCR), and Overages, Shortages, and Damages (OS&Ds) to ensure timely resolution of problems at job sites • Participate with engineering material control in the execution of planned quantity overbuys, with surplus minimization in mind • Have experience in field material management or engineering material control, or other applicable supply chain or engineering roles • Have a solid understanding of following material data through a capital project enterprise reference system, including running reports and importing/exporting of data with different applications • Have a foundation of knowledge in material management and supply chain including engineering/design, the requisitioning and purchasing process, project and work breakdown structures, and how material is to be packaged to suit construction needs.
• Be analytical, communicative, and has a high attention to detail • Use MaterialManager module data to feed material allocation data to work packaging/constraint reports and material availability visualization dashboards • Review requisition bills of material to ensure accuracy of construction work package assignment, specifications and descriptions, and quantity logic • Maintain material data and prepares reports and graphs according to project requirements • Possesses strong computer skills with exposure to dashboarding, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.
