Optician

```Duties``` - Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences - Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyewear - Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and frames to help them make informed decisions - Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure optimal comfort and functionality - Maintain accurate and organized records of customer prescriptions, orders, and payments - Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive eye care services - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology ```Experience``` - Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role preferred - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy related to the eye - Familiarity with medical records systems and ability to accurately document patient information - Experience in retail sales, particularly in the optical industry, is a plus - Knowledge of aseptic technique for handling eyewear and maintaining cleanliness in the dispensary area - Understanding of medical coding and billing procedures, including knowledge of HIPAA regulations Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
