Live Here! Work Here! Job Summary: Provides assistance to department in complying with overall purchasing goals and objectives for Fort Bend County.
Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Responsibilities: Reviews and shops requisitions.
Processes requisitions into purchase orders; Reviews and modifies purchase orders.
Provides public relations assistance in dealing with vendors and other departments; inputs vendor information.
Tracks or monitors budget expenditures; Recommends equipment expenditures.
Requisitions supplies; perform walk through to assure merchandise ordered is received.
Assists end users on financial system; Assists other departments in problem solving; Assists and/or instructs other employees with their duties.
Tracks and coordinates problems and resolutions as they relate to contract terms and conditions due to vendor’s failure to meet specification of term contract.
Resolves and investigates buyer messages and AP reconciliation messages in the financial system software.
Receives, verifies and maintains vendor insurance certificates.
Processes requests for creation, approval, and distribution through the enterprise content management (ECM) system Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED 1 year job related experience/procurement experience/public sector preferred Good computer and typing skills.
Working knowledge of Lawson Financial System Good verbal, written, and communication skills.
Must have good interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees and elected officials; ability to complete assigned projects.
SALARY RANGE: $22.
07-$33.
11 range per hour/based on experience and qualifications CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position All full-time and part-time employees are members of the Texas County District Retirement System (TCDRS).
