Staff Pharmacist – Per Diem

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This position works a minimum 4 hours per month and up to a maximum of 19 hours per week covering day and evenings shifts as needed.
Closed on the weekends.
About the Facility: Westpark Springs Hospital, an 72-bed,Joint commission accredited hospital.
Newly constructed behavioral health hospital facility located just outside Houston in Richmond, Texas.
Nationally known for providing high quality, consistent, evidence-based, and innovative care.
It provides both inpatient and outpatient treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
We will transform the delivery of behavioral health services and solve the largest healthcare challenge of our generation, the lack of access to quality care for mental illness and addiction.
We will engage with patients, families, employees, communities, healthcare providers, and health insurers to increase access to behavioral healthcare.
CPS Soultions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day today operations of this pharmacy.
This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy utilizes HCS and Pyxis.
Pharmacy hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:00pm-3:30pm.
Closed on weekends.
Required Qualifications:
Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Texas
Experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting preferred
Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
Hospital Requirements:
(PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
(MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
Hep B3 Series (or declination)
(Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
