A day in the life of the Lead Installer would be:
• Transport all signage, tools, hardware, and materials to location safely
• Prepare site for installation
• Mount and install signs in accordance with safety protocols
• Clear debris and materials from site after installation
• Perform maintenance and repairs to signs, as needed
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols
• Maintain all necessary communication with the Install Manager and Project Management team daily
• Properly complete all required paperwork and electronic submittals pertaining to logs, vehicle inspections, work orders, and completion photos daily
• Obtain and maintain all required licenses
A few qualifications this integral person must possess are:
• Proven experience as a lead installer in the sign manufacturing or related industry
• Strong knowledge of sign installation techniques, materials, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
• Exceptional professional communication and organizational skills
• OSHA certification and other relevant certifications are a plus
• Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a valuable asset, though not a mandatory requirement
• Journeyman is helpful, but not required
• Crane Operator License is preferred, but not required
Job Requirements:
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be comfortable working at heights ranging from 10 to 150 feet from a lift truck
• Proficiency in operating a boom truck
• Ability to comply with OSHA requirements to maintain safe work practices
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects
• Capable of working effectively in various outdoor conditions
• Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, overnights, and out of town as needed
