JOB BRIEF:
The *Space Management Specialist* is responsible for creating and maintaining a library of accurate planograms / flowgrams for each of the categories for which plans have been created.
This position will work with both internal resources and supplier / broker partner assets to execute the direction of the Category Managers in developing productive planograms.
Space Management Specialist may help schedule and coordinate reset teams to execute the plans at shelf according to the master reset schedule created by Space Management Manager in conjunction with the VP of Merchandising Non Perishables and Marketing.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: * Create, maintain, validate and upload all plan-o-grams.
* Should work with both internal resources and supplier / broker partner assets to - Develop and maintain (including new item cut ins) planograms / flowgrams that deliver against the Category Business Plans, as approved by the Category Manager and execute the direction of the Category Manager in developing productive planograms.
* Send out Weekly planogram updates to stores ? Increase shelf space for brands and/or products based on sales performance from syndicated or internal scan data.
* Routinely visit stores to make category/plan-o-gram presentations and/or regarding shelf merchandising.
* Gather product specific and/or shelving information (physical characteristics) at the store level either manually or with space technology software.
* Work with Space Management Manager, Directors of Merchandising and Senior Category Managers in the development of an efficient reset schedule and new item introduction process that ensures speed to shelf for critical new items.
* Assist internal and supplier / broker Planogram Analysts in the development of Fiesta Mart planograms / flowgrams that deliver against the Category Business Plans, as approved by the Category Manager, provide Fiesta Mart shoppers with an easily navigable set and maintain excellent in stock conditions while limiting excess inventory.
* Provide input and feedback to Space Management Manager, and Category Managers on known issues (space, fixtures, scheduling, labor needs etc.
) and to better understand the timing and placement of the new items and disposition of items being removed from the set.
* Coordinate and Maintain Category Review Calendar with Category Managers and outside partners ? Provide Merchandising team with any space allocation, flow and adjacency information required to develop new stores, resets and remodels using store size, current/potential demographic information, and / or a “like” store for movement.
* Provide Category Managers with current information regarding placement and movement of items in their Categories.
* Maintain Category Tracker, and send out communication to the stores of completed/posted planogram changes UPC specific.
Also to communicate pending UPC’s items to Buyers to ensure categories are updated and discontinue items are removed from planogram.
* Other duties as assigned.
*SECONDARY JOB DUTIES:* * Comply with all company policies and procedures.
* Verify price checks for customers as needed.
* Ensure all product labels, signs and prices are aligned with product.
* Ensure associates and supplier / broker partners adhere to company dress code standard (i.
e.
name tags, personal hygiene, etc.
) * Present a favorable impression in dress, personal hygiene and business attitude.
* Other duties assigned by management.
*QUALIFICATIONS:* * High School Diploma/GED required.
* Must be bilingual in Spanish/English.
* Must have 2 - 3 years of industry level experience or an Associate's Degree.
* Must have an aptitude for or prior work experience in data analysis and space management systems and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the technology required to operate and maintain such systems.
* Must demonstrate an ability to learn Windows and related software applications including spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, e-mail, database management, and either Prospace, Apollo, or Spaceman.
* Must be able to effectively communicate with others.
* Must be able to operate a calculator, computer, printer, fax machine, telephone and copy machine.
* Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Good customer service skills, positive work ethic, and precise attention to detail.
* Problem solver.
* Ability to interact, communicate, and maintain positive working relationship with internal / external partners and others within the Company.
* Knowledgeable in following software: Spaceman Pro (space management software), Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
