is seeking a skilled individual for our Industrial Engineer position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location.
The Industrial Engineer plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of warehouse, manufacturing and logistics operations for equipment, parts and supply to support safety, quality, delivery, cost and environment goals, day-to-day management of returnable packaging flow requires collaborating with service providers, and parts suppliers to drive continuous improvement in the value stream.

Responsibilities: May include: Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data to improve productivity and efficiency Utilizes proven lean principles for warehousing and manufacturing areas Abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased quality, work flow improvements, etc Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization Utilizes AutoCAD software to design racking, layout, work flow and material handling processes Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties Interacts with MHE vendors and suppliers staying informed on industry trends, Data analysis for metric tracking and metric generation Recommends reorganizing work flow, relocating of equipment and recommends purchase of equipment Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget Work with Solutions Group on projects and data gathering when assigned Complete understanding of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery Metrics Knowledgeable of Lean, Kaizen and 5S principles Ability to work out the time taken to perform a task or to complete a particular production stage and set performance standards Establishes continuous improvement goals and executes action plans Participate in additional projects to support ongoing business needs.
Nature & Scope: Takes direction from lead Works within well defined instructions Works with cross-functional teams/functions to support ongoing business needs Qualifications: Knowledge & Skills: General understanding and knowledge of warehousing and material handling processes & practices Software skills including MS Office- Word, Excel & PowerPoint - plus AutoCAD skills preferred Understands layout & design concepts Effective analytical & problem-solving skills Good organizational & time management skills Beginning knowledge of project management skills Effective verbal & written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work with teams and build positive relationships Experience: Up to 3 years of manufacturing, logistics and warehouse design and process flow experience Lean principles for warehousing Beginning knowledgeable of concepts for Kaizan, value stream mapping, Kanban, 5S Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field Six Sigma Certification is a plus Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
