Responsibilities:
The Production Manager provides leadership for the daily operations of the Methanol unit to effectively utilize unit resources and personnel to achieve safe, reliable operations that meet customer needs and unit objectives.
Identifies areas of improvement, and develops and implements recommendations to capture those improvements.
Fun Fact: The Methanol Unit recently completed one of the world's largest Carbon Capture and Utilization projects and expanded the unit’s production capacity.
Stewardship – Engages team on the right way
Implement the operation strategy developed by the Operations Manager.
Develop and maintain daily work processes to achieve flawless daily execution.
Ensure that daily operation is coordinated in a manner to support Stewardship, Reliability, Quality, and People objectives.
Plans for emerging needs and non-routine activities.
Ensures that any resources required to achieve daily execution are available promptly.
Executes Unit Technology Plan and Annual Operating Plan (Budget).
Owner of Unit Safety & Environmental, Quality, Reliability, and Employee Engagement plans.
Drives development and engagement of Production Engineers, Stewardship Leader, Training Coordinator, Production Supervisors, and Operators.
Coordinates with the Engineering Manager to remove technical roadblocks.
Communicates maintenance requirements to Reliability and Maintenance Leader.
Administrator of Process Safety requirements.
Fosters best practices across all unit functions.
Ensures effective Conduct of Operations system is in place.
Coordinates with 3rd Party site partners on issues.
Qualifications:
7+ years’ experience in chemical production facilities.
BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry industry strongly preferred
Experience in chemical manufacturing processes.
Experience in leading people in chemical manufacturing.
Ability to lead in a team-based environment.
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous assignments
