We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Operating Engineer to join our team and be responsible for the installation, maintenance, facilitation, and repair of HVAC systems.
As an HVAC Technician, you will demonstrate expertise in cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, ensuring their optimal functionality throughout their lifespan.
Safety, customer satisfaction, and accountability will be your top priorities in this role.
Ideal candidates will possess patience, excellent multitasking, organizational skills, and have a knack for troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair equipment across the entire campus, providing solutions to supervisor.
Identify maintenance risks on equipment and perform preventative maintenance by monthly deadlines.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Clean, adjust, and repair HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
Maintain daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
Ensure vendor compliance with site-specific safety rules and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Complete all assigned trainings by designated dates.
Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
3+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
Valid driver's license.
EPA Universal certification.
Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
Working knowledge of boiler systems.
Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
Valid driver's license.
