Main Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced US Power Operations Lead with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Power industry to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the scheduling of power transactions, coordinating bilateral trade confirmations, and setting up and guiding structured settlement invoicing.
The US Power Operations Lead will collaborate with various departments, traders, originators, and external stakeholders to manage energy transactions.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute optimal power schedules and physical flows based upon transactions.
Work with Power Contracts team and Traders to review and approve Bilateral Trade Confirmations
Work with Originators and Traders to develop Contractual Invoice settlements for structured transactions and work with Settlements to ensure proper payments.
Daily scheduling needs across ERCOT, PJM, MISO, OATI Tagging etc.
Interface with counterparties, market operators, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
Communicate the status of daily activity related to transactions and any outstanding issues.
Work with other departments to process improvements present findings and recommendations to internal teams and senior management
Key participant for Systems and Process buildout to support Power business
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.
g.
, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, Business).
5+ years of experience in power scheduling, trade confirmations, or structured settlements within the energy industry.
Strong understanding of power markets, regulatory frameworks, and market mechanisms.
Proven knowledge of multiple ISO Operations processes and procedures.
Proficient in using scheduling and energy management software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Asset Operations (Resource and Load registration and ISO telemetry) a plus.
Experience in Allegro and/or PowerOptix preferred
Key Relationships and Department Overview:
Coordinate closely with internal departments, including trading teams, deals desk, settlements, and legal.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager.
