Description
Install, repair and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, equipment and fixtures.
Will perform work underground and above ground doing cable and conduit installations.
May assist and lead second class electricians to ensure safety.
Duties:
Oversee all safety rules with oversight of co-workers to ensure compliance
Inspects designated work areas for hazards
Oversees the inspection and testing of all electrical equipment to ensure safe performance
Oversees the installation and maintenance of equipment with oversight of co-workers to ensure compliance
Comply with all state and local electrical codes
Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
Possesses a TDLR Journeyman License, or TDLR master’s License, or NCCER
Extensive knowledge of electrical hand and all required tools
Able to work at heights of 200 feet
Organization and time management
Ability to work with others – Team player
Excellent communication skills with co-workers and supervisors
Working Conditions:
Employees will be required to be able to endure long periods of standing, siting, walking, bending, and/or lifting
May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding
Must be able to work in all weather conditions
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
